Cheryl Shanahan
Cheryl Shanahan is a native New Englander who lives, paints, and teaches art in New Hampshire’s Lakes Region. She has been painting boldly colored scenes for collectors, corporate clients, commissions, and galleries since 2020.
Color is central to Cheryl’s work. Life is vibrant and intense, and she wants her paintings to reflect that richness. She wants viewers to feel movement in the water, wind in the trees, and light shifting across the sky. She paints the full range of values — the drama, the brightness, the quiet moments — because that’s what life looks like.
Cheryl exhibits in galleries, group and solo exhibitions, and juried shows in New Hampshire and Virginia. She is a graduate of the University of Richmond.
